We are currently seeking a full-time Cook who is energetic, highly dedicated, and hard-working to collaborate with our team. We are always on the lookout for talented chefs at all levels who are passionate about creating delicious and visually stunning dishes, delivering a memorable experience for our valued guests. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of food preparation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet our customers' expectation

Task & responsibilities

1. Examine foodstuffs to ensure quality and freshness prior to preparation and cooking.
2. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and business standards.
3. Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment to ensure proper cooking and food safety compliance.
4. Season food during cooking and ensure correct portioning, plating, and garnishing before service.
5. Store food in temperature-controlled facilities and monitor stock rotation to maintain freshness and minimise waste.
6. Conduct regular stocktakes, monitor stock levels, and place orders as required.
7. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, including safe food handling and equipment maintenance.
8. Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements where required.
9. Assist with menu planning and estimating food and ingredient requirements.
10. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprentices in food preparation and hygiene practices.
11. Report equipment faults and maintenance requirements to management and ensure safe kitchen operations.

Qualification & experience

• Preferably 1 year experience as a Cook
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multifaceted kitchen operations 
• Attention to detail Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers 
• A versatile and hard-working person with a practical hands-on approach, who strives to achieve the best outcomes at all times.
•  Excellent communication and organisational skills
•  Good knowledge of policies and procedures in workplace
