Skala Bakery, located in Port Adelaide, South Australia, is seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our bakery, you will play a vital role in crafting high-quality pastries, cakes, and other baked goods that delight our customers daily.

Prepare and bake artisan pastries, cakes, buns and specialty baked goods in line with Skala Bakery production standards
Check quality of raw materials and accurately weigh and measure ingredients
Knead, laminate, mix, cut, mould and shape dough and pastry products using traditional artisan techniques
Prepare pastry fillings, creams and glazes according to established recipes
Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to ensure consistent baking quality
Glaze pastries and decorate cakes with cream, icing and finishing elements
Operate and maintain bakery equipment including mixers, dough sheeters and ovens
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas in compliance with food safety and WHS requirements
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Patisserie or equivalent qualification
Minimum one year full time relevant experience as a Pastry Cook in a commercial bakery
Strong knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
Ability to operate commercial bakery equipment and work in a fast paced production environment
