Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Our dedicated food & beverage professional is responsible for overseeing service staff and standards in our luxury setting of Food & Beverage Outlet and establish and maintaining the highest service standards.

As an experienced and passionate food and beverage professional, you will assist the Restaurant Manager to ensure that the outlet is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and flexible service at all times.

• In the absence of Restaurant Manager, ensure efficient running of the Akoya restaurant
• Take a visible management approach ensuring leadership on rostered shift assessing service standards and staffing requirements.
• Training and development of all colleagues from the period on onboarding.
• Work with the team to achieve LQA Standards through departmental training, SOP development, tastings, famils and tracking training progress according to Service Standards.
• Assist the Manager with the weekly rostering, forecast and calculation of the revenue and payroll of the outlet, including reporting on a fortnightly basis.
• Analyse the P&L to seek opportunities to get better results and gain a better understanding of the overall business.
• Liaise with the F&B Manager and kitchen team on menu engineering, menu feedback and portion control, ensuring the highest food standard is achieved.
• Actively participate in identifying additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue and incentive program for colleagues.
• Monitor guest feedback and GSI results to identify shortfalls and remedy service issues.
• Meet VIPs and personally meet and interact with guests, review all written guest comments and follow up on all guest service issues
• Monitor the Hotel Net Promoter Score, Trip Advisor and other social media to identify priorities for improvement planning.
• Understand the Hotel's policy on health and safety, ensuring that all duties are carried out with regard to the safety of all guests, colleagues and visitors on site

Qualifications and Employment Experience

To be successful in the role you will have been in the same or similar position at a luxury hotel/high end restaurant and proven experience leading teams to meet a level of high performance across service, financial and operational commitments. Other key attributes we are looking for include:
