Assistant Night Duty Manager

We are seeking a Full-Time Assistant Night Manager to join our team. This role will report to the Night Manager and is responsible for the overall care, hospitality and service given to guest/s throughout their stay.

The successful candidate will:

• Reporting of the Night Audit function
• Ensuring departmental revenue is posted and balanced accurately
• Prepare reports to reflect the trading result of the property on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Prepare and Deliver In Room Dining orders, newspapers and guest amenities
• Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety by tight control of after hour's access to the property
• Act as the Night Manager in the absence of the Night Manager
• Be the first point of contact for all guest needs & issues

Ideally you will have:

• Diploma in Hotel Management, or a similar field of study
• 12-months experience in an Assistant Night Manager role 
• Ability to work 5 overnight shifts (approximately 11pm – 7.30am) including weekends and public holidays
• RSA certificate
• First Aid certificate + CPR
• Valid Full Australian Driver's license
• Strong communications and relationship building skills
• Customer service focus and enjoy leading a team
• Strong experience with Opera

Duties

• Serve as the sole overnight manager, overseeing all hotel operations and acting as the primary decision‑maker for guests and staff.
• Lead and coordinate the hotel’s response to all emergencies, ensuring procedures are followed and detailed incident reports are prepared. 
• Oversee the Night Auditor and night audit function, ensuring accurate completion of financial reconciliations and daily reporting. 
• Review, verify, and distribute all night audit reports to relevant departments, ensuring compliance with financial and operational standards. 
• Conduct overnight operational and security checks, resolving guest issues promptly and ensuring a safe, smooth overnight operation.
