Florentina's Trattoria is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our modern kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality Italian Flavors while maintaining the standard of excellence our patrons expect. You will work closely with a dedicated team to elevate our menu and ensure every guest—regardless of dietary needs—enjoys a memorable meal.

Task & responsibilities

• Culinary Execution: Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, including our signature Italian pastas, risottos, and pizzas.
• Menu Innovation: Assist in developing seasonal specials and evolving our core menu.
• Quality Control: Ensure every plate meets our standards for taste, temperature, and presentation.
• Dietary Management: Expertly cater to various dietary requirements and allergies.
• Operations: Manage inventory, maintain stock levels, and minimize waste.
• Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized workspace in strict accordance with health and safety regulations.

Qualification & experience

• Education: Certificate IV or Diploma in Culinary Arts (or a similar discipline).
• Experience: Over a year in kitchen operations or culinary management.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of menu development, food cost management, and general kitchen workflows.
• Attributes: A collaborative spirit and a "quality-first" mindset.
