Chef - Full Time

Curry Twist Indian Cuisine is a well-established and busy Indian restaurant known for delivering authentic North and South Indian flavours with a modern twist. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team on a full-time basis.

Task & responsibilities

• Planning and preparing authentic Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and regional specialties
• Designing and updating menu items in line with seasonal availability
• Monitoring food quality, presentation, and portion control
• Managing kitchen operations during service periods
• Supervising and training kitchen staff
• Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Managing stock ordering, rotation, and inventory control
• Minimising food wastage and maintaining cost control measures

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher)
• Minimum 1 years of full-time experience as a Chef (preferably in Indian cuisine)
• Strong knowledge of Indian spices, curry bases, and traditional cooking techniques
• Experience operating tandoor ovens preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
