Tea and Cake Pty Ltd T/A Candied Bakery is seeking a qualified and experienced Pastrycook for a full-time permanent role.

Position: Pastrycook

Salary: $76,515 per year + Superannuation

Hours: 38 hours per week, Full-Time

Location: 136 Hall St, Spotswood VIC 3015

The ideal candidate will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:

Prepare and bake a range of pastry goods including cakes, buns, cookies, pies, croissants, soft serve, and a variety of bread.
Decorating cakes using various techniques like glazing and spraying and creating unique designs and wedding cakes.
Preparing fillings for pastries and shaping dough.
Checking oven temperatures and the appearance of products to determine baking times.
Managing the forming, baking, unloading, and cooling of bread, rolls, and pastries.
Glazing buns and pastries and decorating cakes with cream and icing.
Using machines to roll, mold dough, and cut biscuits.
Cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins, and other equipment.
Keeping equipment clean and following safety rules.
Checking the quality of raw materials and measuring ingredients.
Having strong knowledge of food safety standards.
Managing food preparation and reducing waste.
Setting a good example in a busy environment and promoting a team culture.
Working with the team to create new products and menu items.
Helping to plan production schedules and making sure all products meet business standards.

Experience & Qualification

A formal qualification in Patisserie or a related field (minimum Certificate IV in Patisserie or equivalent).
At least 3 year of professional experience in a similar role..
