Salary Range: $77,000 – $80,000 PLUS SUPERANNUATION (Dependent on Experience)
Bukhara Indian Restaurant, located in Truganina VIC 3029, is seeking a qualified and experienced Indian Chef to join our full-time team.
This position is open to Australian Citizens and Australian Permanent Residents.

Task & responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian cuisine including curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis, vegetarian specialties and breads.
- Assist in menu planning and estimating food and labour costs.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste and presentation.
- Maintain food safety standards and compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
- Supervise kitchen assistants when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen operations.
Qualification & experience
- Minimum Certificate III and Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant full-time experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Experience in preparing authentic Indian cuisine.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
