$70,000 - $90,000 Annual

We are seeking experienced and motivated Chefs across all levels (Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, and Commis Chef) to join our full-time kitchen teams across our Melbourne venues.

Successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and presenting menu items to a high standard, managing sections during service, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, and contributing to efficient kitchen operations.

Placement within a specific venue will depend on operational requirements and candidate experience.

Task & responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Manage designated kitchen sections during preparation and service
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
  • Assist with stock monitoring, ordering, and cost control
  • Minimise wastage and maintain kitchen efficiency
  • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff where applicable
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment
  • Collaborate with front-of-house and management teams to ensure smooth service

Qualification & experience

  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment (experience level dependent on classification)
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • Understanding of Australian food safety and compliance standards
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
