Hotel Duty Manager

• Managing and coordinating the operations of reservations, front desk services, housekeeping, and in-room services.
• Monitoring security procedures and ensuring the proper upkeep of the premises, including gardens and surrounding facilities.
• Organising and supervising activities related to the bar, dining areas, functions, and conference events.
• Ensuring adherence to all applicable legislation and regulations, including those relating to liquor licensing and gaming.
• Evaluating guest feedback and service performance to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
• Supervising financial administration tasks, including purchasing and accounting processes.
• Maintaining workplace practices in accordance with occupational health and safety standards.
• Assisting guests with local travel information and coordinating tour bookings and transportation arrangements when required.

Task & responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of reservations, front office services, housekeeping, and room service to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Monitor and manage security procedures while ensuring the maintenance and presentation of the property, including gardens and external areas.
• Plan, organise, and supervise bar, restaurant, function, and conference activities to ensure smooth operations and high service standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements, including those relating to liquor and gaming.
• Review guest feedback and operational performance to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
• Oversee administrative functions including procurement, budgeting, and financial record management.
• Implement and maintain workplace practices in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Provide guests with information about local attractions and assist in arranging tours, travel, and transportation services where required.

Qualification & experience

• A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a similar role within the hospitality or accommodation industry.
• Proven experience in supervising or managing hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and guest services.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple operational areas and ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage staff, resolve operational issues, and maintain positive customer relations.
• Sound understanding of hospitality industry standards, customer service practices, and operational procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including liquor licensing, workplace health and safety, and hospitality compliance obligations, is highly desirable.
• Relevant qualifications in hospitality management, business administration, tourism, or a related discipline are preferred but not mandatory.
