Khao Pla Restaurant is a well-established Thai restaurant in Sydney known for delivering authentic Thai flavours with high-quality ingredients and modern presentation. We pride ourselves on maintaining high culinary standards and providing a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen while ensuring high-quality food preparation and service in line with our standards.
• Work with the Head Chef to plan menus, estimate food costs, and ordering food supplies
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
•To prepare and present all food items for the restaurant, ensuring all standards and procedures are maintained
• Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
•To maintain the highest level of cleanliness in all kitchen sections ensuring all equipment and utensils are correctly stored at the conclusion of rostered shift.
• To ensure the ordering of all food items is carried out for the assigned section in consultation with the Head Chef
•All other duties as are directed by the Head Chef
•Managing the kitchen during shifts and supervising Cooks/Kitchen Staff
• Daily routine safety checks and maintenance to be performed on all plant, equipment, fixtures and fitting to ensure compliance with occupational health & safety and health and food safety standards Australia requirements.
• All WH&S incidents to be documented including procedure applied to ensure prevention of all future occurrences.
