The cafe restaurant is known for offering freshly prepared meals made from quality ingredients and delivering a welcoming dining experience for the local community. Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals while ensuring kitchen operations run efficiently. The role requires strong culinary skills, the ability to maintain high food safety standards, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a busy kitchen environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparation, cooking, and presentation of food as per the menu
Strong emphasis on quality, consistency of dishes
Passion for quality output in an efficient time frame
Creative & skills in menu preparation, design, planning, and costing
Ability to handle large service numbers
Train and manage cooks and kitchen staff
Achieving all safety, hygiene, and food quality.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas
Implement proper food storage, freezing and preservation techniques to maintain food quality and minimise waste.
Should be able to manage daily kitchen operations, including ordering, receiving, and checking kitchen supplies.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Relevant qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment
Ability to work under pressure
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industry
Effective communication skills
