Saini 22 Pty Ltd is looking for a passionate and motivated Full-Time Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in preparing quality meals, and wants to grow their career in the hospitality industry.
You will play an important role in ensuring food is prepared to a high standard while maintaining hygiene, efficiency, and teamwork in the kitchen.
Task & responsibilities
• Examining food ingredients to ensure quality, freshness, and suitability prior to use.
Regulating and monitoring temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.• Preparing and cooking food in accordance with established recipes and service standards.
• Seasoning food appropriately during the cooking process to achieve consistent flavours.
• Portioning meals, plating dishes, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes as required.
• Storing food correctly in temperature-controlled facilities to maintain food safety and quality.
• Preparing food to meet special dietary and customer requirements.
• Assisting with menu planning and estimating food and ingredient requirements when required.
• Supporting the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff and apprentices as needed.
• Ensuring all food preparation and cooking activities comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Qualification & experience
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Relevant qualification in commercial cookery or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene requirements, and workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation.
