DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with kitchen procedures, ensuring consistent taste, quality, and presentation.
Portion and arrange dishes for service, applying sauces, gravies, and garnishes to enhance presentation.
Inspect raw ingredients and prepared food items to confirm freshness, quality, and suitability for use.
Ensure all food items are stored appropriately and that refrigeration and storage areas are maintained at correct temperatures.
Assist in organising daily food preparation activities and estimating ingredient quantities based on service needs.
Maintain consistent portion sizes during preparation and service to support quality control and minimise wastage.
Monitor kitchen inventory, report low stock levels, and assist with ordering supplies when required.
Prepare meals that accommodate specific dietary needs or customer preferences when requested.
Provide guidance and basic training to junior kitchen staff to support teamwork and efficient workflow.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment while following food safety, hygiene, and workplace
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, safety, and hygiene.
Ability to perform under pressure in a busy environment.
Team player with reliability and a strong work ethic.
Relevant cookery qualifications preferred.
Work hours:
Full-Time, 38 Hours
