As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food to meet our high-quality standards. You will work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while contributing to a fun and team-oriented atmosphere.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items, according to recipes and quality standards
• Inspect and ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients
• Regulating cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers
• Season, portion, and plate dishes with appropriate sauces and garnishes
• Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
• Ensure food storage and preparation areas are clean and sanitized
• Store ingredients safely in temperature-controlled facilities
• Assist with menu planning and estimating ingredients requirement
• Assist with inventory management
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment

Qualification & experience

• Formal qualification
• Proven experience as a Cook in a busy cafe/restaurant kitchen
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
